Purpose: Water-mode surveys use geophysical instruments to map underwater environments, ideal for detecting submerged objects, assessing bathymetry, and conducting environmental studies. This mode is commonly applied in rivers, lakes, and coastal areas where accurate mapping of underwater features is needed.

Applications:

Submerged Object Detection: Water-mode surveys can identify sunken objects, debris, or structures, aiding in underwater archaeology, salvage, and hazard assessment.

Bathymetric Mapping: Detailed depth measurements help create bathymetric maps, which are essential for navigation, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure projects like bridge or pipeline installations.

Technical Process: Instruments such as sonar, GPR, or EM systems are towed behind a boat or kayak, continuously collecting data on the underwater landscape.
